LifeTec Australia is proud to be a social enterprise that provides dedicated assistive technology (AT) services. We strive to connect people and communities through assistive technology to enable their aspirations.
According to the 2015 Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers (SDAC) by the Australian Bureau of Statistics there were 4.3 million Australians or 18.3% of the population estimated to have disability. The Health and Welfare of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples: 2015 indicates that approximately 36% of Indigenous Australians had some form of disability.
We believe all Australians with disability should have equal access to the life-changing assistive technology they need. However, the NDIS doesn’t cover people with disability who are over the age of 65. This means that people with disability who are excluded from the NDIS do not have access to the assistive technology that can support them in being independent and living their aspirations.
We want all Australians with disability to have access to the assistive technology they need , which is why we need your help! With every dollar amount you contribute, it goes towards supporting someone who fails to meet the eligibility requirements for the NDIS and My Aged Care to get the assistive technology they need.
