LifeTec has been delivering home maintenance services to older Australians in the Townsville area as they self-isolate during the COVID 19 period. We have seen an increase in referrals to the program and have delivered on average 100 jobs per month including general maintenance services such as changing light bulbs, remeshing screens, replacing or repairing door locks, installing or change smoke alarm batteries, minor electrical services and minor plumbing services.

All our contractors report our consumers are pleased that their needs for these services have been met as they enable them to stay safe and well during the self-isolation period.

Our Maintenance Officer Chris Beckett, has reported that consumers are pleased to see him and satisfied with the COVID-19 hygiene and social distancing measures we have put in place to protect staff and consumers.
