It is critical that consumers be provided with accurate information about their assistive technology options, and the right level of support in accessing AT. This skills training package has been developed for the valued role that community care workers provide in supporting the AT journey for people with disabilities.
This four hour workshop has been designed for practicing support and care workers, covering the fundamental skills and knowledge for good AT practice. We explore key concepts in the AT process, and how to facilitate a good AT journey for your clients. In addition to this, the practical activities will give participants hands-on experience with technologies for daily living, and utilizing good resources of AT information.
Contact us to discuss opportunities for organizational training. We also offer online learning modules covering this topic, and other focused AT courses online: Click Here.
